Established in January 2009, Cube Precision Engineering has grown to provide leading aerospace, defence and automotive companies with the highest standards in precision tool design, manufacture, sub-contract machining and low volume production.

Working predominantly from Prime and Tier 1 manufacturing companies we specialize in taking bespoke concept designs and producing prototype parts or full production tooling.

Using Delcam's suite of tooling including, Powershape, Powermill and Power Inspect we offer a facility of full traceability throughout the manufacturing process ensuring there is no time consuming translation between software packages. We are fully experienced in using IGES, DGK, Catia V5 and many other leading file types.

Specializing in large scale bespoke projects our CNC machining centres (up to 5m) lifting capacity (up to 35T) and try out facilities (1,000T) enable us to compete across a wide range of industries. We are specialist press tool makers so whether it is press tools for automotive body sides, a class 'A' panel for interior running boards or dashboards, a poker table or even the front strutted case for the latest medium range aircraft, Cube Precision have the experience and knowledge to deliver your projects on time.

CNC Machining

There are 11 CNC machines each running 24hrs a day 5 days a week. Predominantly programmed offline using Delcam’s PowerMill software, the machines are capable of machining components up to 5m in length. The larger machines are fitted with multi-axis heads to enable efficient 3+2 CNC machining for complex angles on components.

Typically machining components in cast iron or steel, the machines also regularly machine in a range of model boards, aluminium or aerospace grade steels. Maximum load weight on to the machines is 35T supported by the overhead crane capacity.

Press Tool Makers

We are press tool makers for a variety of industries. For automotive purposes we design and manufacture:

Progression dies,
Transfer tooling and
Single op tools

As press tool makers we are able to prove tooling using our range of presses ranging up to 4.5m 1,000T. Typical components have included brackets for seating components, A and B door pillars, floor panels and the bonnet from the Aston Martin One-77. We are approved by Honda and Land Rover and work directly for a majority of the UK’s OEM’s and Tier 1 companies.

For aerospace we design and manufacture tooling used in die quench and super plastic forming processes and have experience making a range of tooling that produces engine components and supporting brackets. We have a Rolls Royce vendor code and work with a range of leading tier one aerospace companies.
